Michael Phelps first made a splash at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He was just 15 years old when he competed in his first Olympics games. While he didn’t win any medals at that Olympics, he did turn heads with his performance.
Michael Phelps really came into his own at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. He won six gold medals and two bronze medals at that Olympics. He also set two world records during those Olympic games. Michael Phelps was now a force to be reckoned with!

Michael Phelps capped off his incredible career with a bang at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He won five gold medals and one silver medal at that Olympics. With that, he became the first and only Olympian to win 28 total medals! Michael Phelps is truly an Olympic legend.
